We were honored to have a special guest last week.  Dave Clary, the mastermind behind the Fantom Racing motor dyno software, stopped by to see the new shop.  His software played a big part in getting our Mini-Z motor comparison data on the website, so we were stoked to have him on location.  During our visit, we talked a little RC, worked on the dyno a bit, and of course...drank some coffee.  He helped us work out a kink or two with the dyno and software, so we hope to add some new Mini-Z motors and clean up some old data.

We still have loads of organization to do, but we are up and running in our new space.  It's awesome.

Here's a photo of our NEW phone system, and you can see the old junkie one in the background!!

If you've tried to call us and we've put you on hold and you ended up getting dropped, that's a result of us not being familiar with our new phone systems. Please understand we work on RC Cars, not phones, so we're trying to get more comfortable with the new systems. Some of us are more familiar with it then others so we'll be having a tutorial lesson soon here at the shop so we can at least transfer a phone call and not hang up on you in the process.

I promise we'll get it down. Sooner or later!!!

We had some fun with the new GT-Rs the other day.  Not only are these cars some of the fastest on Earth, but they make for great photography.  We started with stock wheels and got both colors as they come out of the box.

Then Jay ran off with the silver GT-R.  When it returned, the stock wheels were replaced by Atomic's new Aluminum wheels for the Mini-Z AWD.  He also removed the springs to give it the slammed look that makes it photograph even nicer:

As with any Mini-Z, I'm not sure how long Kyosho plans to keep this car in production.  So I would recommend picking it up if you have the means.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting the Microracers24 hobby shop and raceway located in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This facility supports all scales of radio control including Mini-Z's. Sven, the owner of Microracers24, was nice enough to let me visit his store and try out his world renowned tracks. Here are a few pictures of Sven and friends.

Finding time away from the shop is hard unless you are on a mission to get some really cool videos of our Tamiya CR01 and 3Racing new working winch. Here is a pic of myself and Jay working the camera....video coming soon.

The Kyosho Rock Force is back! Ok, so it's not new but it's back in stock!  Now on to the new stuff!  (we have the high speed worm gears and the Kyosho option spring set in stock as well for this beast)

Alright, a few things I'm excited to see...

We just got the Pro-line Ambush lexan body for the Axial AX-10(scale accessories not included) with the scale roll cage. We've got it with or without the cage. We'll also be carrying the scale accessories packs from Pro-line you see here. (roof rack, light bar, wester style bumpers, accessory packs, etc....)

Here's one of the accessory packs we'll be carrying

The winch you see above is NOT a working winch, BUT we already have the 3 racing 1/10 scale fully operational winch in stock! (see below) Pretty cool.

Last but least, we're expecting the new Axial SCX10 1.9 scale truck kit mid February. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!  (I'm a bit of a "scale truck" junkie)

SCX10 chassis (below)

I think that's enough for now, see you on the rocks! (or trail)

The new shop is progressing nicely, with most of the shelves and cabinetry completed.

Kyosho has been slow to supply the Mini-Z MR-02LM ASF Kits.

But, we got our hands on the newest LM Body.  It's not out yet in the states, but it should be available within a few weeks.  It's a Mazda 787B.  Check it out...

In a hostile confrontation with a belligerent nail gun, Rob sustained an injury to his left thumb.

Moments before the mêlée began.

Yeowch.  That smarts.

Sorry, Rob.  Out of suckers.

The doctor says he should be off IV fluids and back to solid foods by New Years.  While we wait, here are some pics of our new shop...
