The Kyosho Rock Force is back! Ok, so it's not new but it's back in stock!  Now on to the new stuff!  (we have the high speed worm gears and the Kyosho option spring set in stock as well for this beast)

Alright, a few things I'm excited to see...

We just got the Pro-line Ambush lexan body for the Axial AX-10(scale accessories not included) with the scale roll cage. We've got it with or without the cage. We'll also be carrying the scale accessories packs from Pro-line you see here. (roof rack, light bar, wester style bumpers, accessory packs, etc....)

Here's one of the accessory packs we'll be carrying

The winch you see above is NOT a working winch, BUT we already have the 3 racing 1/10 scale fully operational winch in stock! (see below) Pretty cool.

Last but least, we're expecting the new Axial SCX10 1.9 scale truck kit mid February. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these!  (I'm a bit of a "scale truck" junkie)

SCX10 chassis (below)

I think that's enough for now, see you on the rocks! (or trail)

The new shop is progressing nicely, with most of the shelves and cabinetry completed.

Kyosho has been slow to supply the Mini-Z MR-02LM ASF Kits.

But, we got our hands on the newest LM Body.  It's not out yet in the states, but it should be available within a few weeks.  It's a Mazda 787B.  Check it out...

In a hostile confrontation with a belligerent nail gun, Rob sustained an injury to his left thumb.

Moments before the mêlée began.

Yeowch.  That smarts.

Sorry, Rob.  Out of suckers.

The doctor says he should be off IV fluids and back to solid foods by New Years.  While we wait, here are some pics of our new shop...

You think the last four words of the National Anthem are "Gentleman start your engines!"....

You name your twin boys Jack Daniel & Jim Beam....

You regularly see kinfolk on "America's Most Wanted." ....

If the earrings you gave your wife for Christmas double as fishing lures.....

Your kids trip over the Christmas lights while hunting for Easter eggs......

You've ever cut your grass and found a car......

You go Christmas shopping for your mom, sister, and girlfriend, and you only need to buy one gift.......

You own a Waffle House credit card....

However, if you look like this, there is no question about it, YOU ARE A REDNECK!

John Shanklin, the AtomicMods Operations Manager sports his (temporary) new look.

We updated the site with a huge new shipment of Atomic parts today, though there are several very popular parts that are not currently in production.  So if you see something still out of stock, chances are, it is currently unavailable from the manufacturer.

There is still a big chunk of the country that is still reachable by Christmas via UPS Ground, if the order is placed by 2:00 PM CST today!  See the map.  If your shipping address is green (3 days), light brown (2 days), or yellow-ish (1 day), UPS Ground is still an option.  Otherwise, you can choose an expedited shipping or take your chances with the US Postal Service.

Carbon fiber is so light.  Seriously.  This new chassis is half the weight of the titanium version and 20% lighter than the aluminum version.  Just like its aluminum and titanium brethren, it will accomodate all XMOD Evo car bodies.

There are lots of knockoffs of this chassis on Ebay.  Some even claim they are AtomicMods-produced.  Let it be known, we are not marketing this chassis on Ebay.  If you see this chassis on Ebay, it is a fake at worst, or used at best.

It's not quite a White Christmas, but we'll take it!  It snowed up to 3" in some spots in Southeast Texas last night.  I know you folks up north are rolling your eyes, but this only happens once every few years here in Houston.

The most exciting 2.2 Crawler to date is available! The Kyosho 2.2 Rock Force features the first worm transmission in a 2.2 Crawler.  Worm gears are good.  Here's a few reasons why:
  • Worm gear design allows a large gear reduction ratio to be fitted into a compact space that also delivers high strength and easy maintenance. The small number of moving gears also minimizes the potential for trouble and results in greater reliability.

  • The large gear reduction ratio works fine with the standard power output of a 20T to 27T motor. Not only can you avoid the high-cost of a special motor, worm gear technology also produces highly efficient and powerful torque delivering excellent low range control.

  • No special ESC is required to add a drag brake.  The one-way drive transfer of the worm-gears prevents reverse rotation of the tires so the tires lock automatically when the throttle is released. This also provides powerful stopping effect on steep slopes and works well with standard speed controllers.
This revolutionary vehicle will be ready to ship on Tuesday, December 2.
